Job Description
VANRATH are delighted to be working with a respected client in Belfast. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact, providing excellent customer service, managing front desk duties, and supporting the office team to ensure smooth operations.
Things to know about the job

  • Salary: £12.20/hour
  • Monday to Friday - 9am-5pm
  • Temporary ongoing

The Person

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including English and Mathematics.
  • Proven experience and competence in using computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel, with skills in setting up and managing databases.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across various media, including in-person interactions, email, phone, and written correspondence.
  • Ability to handle enquiries professionally and build positive rapport with colleagues and clients.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail and a high standard of written and verbal communication.

The Role

  • Welcome and assist visitors, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls, providing information and handling enquiries.
  • Manage emails and other correspondence, forwarding messages to the appropriate contacts.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and other diary items.
  • Maintain records, files, and documentation, ensuring an accurate and organised filing system.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post, including sorting, distributing, and franking.
  • Order and manage office supplies, ensuring the reception area remains well-stocked and tidy.
  • Provide general administrative support to staff as required, including data entry and document preparation.
