QA/Test Analyst - Contract
Daily Rate: £350-400 (Inside IR35)
Contract: Initially 6 months with the option to extend
Location: Hybrid, based in Belfast

Position Summary:
As a QA/Test Analyst with a focus on automation, you will play a critical role in defining and implementing automated testing strategies, ensuring efficient test coverage against requirements. You'll create automated test scripts, manage automation pipelines, identify and troubleshoot issues, and report risks. Reporting directly to the Testing Services Manager, you will work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and other stakeholders to integrate automation seamlessly into the testing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automated test cases and scripts to streamline the testing process.
- Manage automated testing cycles, ensuring effective integration with the CI/CD pipeline.
- Provide guidance and support to other testers on automation best practices and tools.
- Take ownership of automated testing delivery within predefined timelines.
- Identify and resolve automation-related issues, report risks, and define appropriate regression tests.
- Serve as an escalation point for any testing issues related to automation within the project team.
- Document and present automated test results to stakeholders.
- Regularly update project plans and communicate progress on automation initiatives.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- 5+ years of experience in a QA/Test Analyst role with a focus on automation.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot automation issues efficiently.
- Good self-management and client-facing skills.
- Strong understanding of common software failures and faults, with an emphasis on automated test detection.
Desirable Skills:
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
- Experience with CI/CD integration and automated pipeline management.
