Project Manager - IT (Data Migration) - £50,952

Summary:

The Programme/Project that you will be working on is a large and complex transformation programme. The objective is to replace the current system which is due to expire within the coming years and support & enable the modernisation.

Key Duties:

  1. Successfully deliver complex projects within equip programme to time and budget as directed by the Technical Dependencies Programme Manager.
  2. Work with external suppliers/vendors for the procurement and subsequent implementation of equip, solutions and services.
  3. Work collaboratively within equip and with stakeholders to develop business cases when required.
  4. Have capability and understanding to facilitate the use of a broad base of technologies to deliver equip.
  5. Play a lead role in the design and implementation of innovative solutions which deliver the business requirements for significant equip projects.
  6. Work with specialist advisors in legal and procurement services to successfully deliver projects and their relevant contractual agreements.
  7. Plan, monitor and report on projects using the BSO standard programme and project management software tool as well as agreed equip Programme procedures.
  8. Set up project structures for the effective management, quality assurance and reporting of the Data Migration work stream.
  9. Liaise with programme management and related projects to ensure that work is not overlooked or duplicated.
  10. Financial planning and control of individual capital and revenue project and programme budgets.
  11. Report project progress via agreed reporting mechanisms.
  12. Work closely with ICT Delivery Managers in Trusts to ensure and enable technical readiness to implement and adopt the new systems and processes.
  13. Provide direction related to Data Migration to project sponsors, the Programme Manager and the Technical Dependencies Programme Manager and Senior project managers
  14. Organise and prepare for post project evaluations (PPE) and Gateway reviews to assess delivery of Data Migration against strategic objectives. Disseminate lessons learned and facilitate or follow up recommendations as required.
  15. Take responsibility for a team of staff and maintain good relationships and morale amongst those reporting to him/her.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree
  • Min 3 years experience in the last 5 years in a technical delivery role (delivering large scale data migration projects using industry standard tools, with experience of leading a team of technical specialists).

OR

  • HND/equivalent professional qualification
  • Min 5 years experience in the last 7 years in a technical delivery role (delivering large scale data migration projects using industry standard tools, with experience of leading a team of technical specialists).

Salary:

£50,952 per annum (Hybrid working)
