Production Manager (Manufacturing) - Ballymena

This will be based in the Company's site in Ballymena - Monday - Friday (Day Shift) - Permanent Role

Salary:

£40,000 - £48,000 + Fantastic Benefits Package - Yearly Salary Reviews - Progression Opportunities

Responsibilities:

• Production Planning and Execution
• Develop and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer demands and inventory targets.

Quality Control and Compliance

• Ensure all products meet internal and external quality standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to conduct routine inspections and quality tests.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, including health and environmental guidelines.

Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve production processes, reduce waste, and lower costs.
• Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize production efficiency.

Team Management and Development

• Supervise and manage a team of production staff, including scheduling, task allocation, and performance management.
• Conduct training for new hires and ongoing development for existing team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management

• Promote a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to all HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Oversee and participate in emergency response drills and training.

Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of production outputs, equipment maintenance, and personnel activities.
• Generate reports on production metrics and performance for senior management review.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with the warehouse team to manage stock and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure raw materials are available and production timelines are met.
• Monitor production metrics (e.g., yield, efficiency, downtime) and adjust processes to maximize efficiency.

The Ideal Person:

• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the chemical or coagulant industry.
• Knowledge of production management software and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with quality control systems and regulatory compliance in chemical manufacturing.
