Production Manager - Antrim - Immediate

Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be support a Global Leader in recycling and sustainability who are highly staff centric and place massive value on staff growth and development. The company seek to Recruit a Production Manager to join a growing and dynamic team.

Salary - £40,000 - £45,000 - Negotiable + Benefits Package

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies & procedures across the Assembly floor.
  • Promote a positive culture of safety, conducting regular safety walks and ensuring the Home Safe Everyday message is at the forefront of everyone in the team
  • Ensure any H&S investigations are concluded in a timely manner with appropriate corrective actions to eliminate reoccurrence.
  • Manage team performance, providing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities. Carry out performance appraisals and objective setting in line with the overall company objectives and strategy.
  • Resolve personnel issues and manage workforce capacity, including recruitment and training.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to ensure optimal production output while minimising downtime to ensure the Assembly function meets the production schedule
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve high levels of productivity and engagement.
  • Monitor the assembly and electrical production processes, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  • Monitor, communicate and improve department KPIs around Safety, Quality and Schedule, meeting schedule and quality expectations while ensuring the best working practices are maintained.
  • Create and execute daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules.
  • Identify areas for process improvement to enhance product quality and reduce defects.

Essential Criteria:

  • Required Criteria
  • 4 years experience in a factory environment
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a factory supervisory role
  • 2 years experience in a stores function
  • Strong knowledge of ERP software including shop order management, inventory understanding and shop floor clocking
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to effectively plan and organise the workload of a large assembly team
