About the Role:
We are seeking an energetic and hands-on Production Manager to lead and oversee assembly and electrical production within our facility. You will play a critical role in ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining high standards of quality, and driving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a focus on health and safety, team management, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee team performance, offering coaching, feedback, and opportunities for development.
- Conduct performance appraisals and set objectives aligned with company goals.
- Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages communication and continuous improvement.
- Allocate resources to maximise production efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Lead the team to meet production schedules while maintaining high levels of productivity and engagement.
- Monitor assembly processes, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Track and communicate departmental KPIs related to safety, quality, and schedules, ensuring consistent performance.
- Develop and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly production plans.
- Ensure on-time delivery through proactive collaboration with other departments.
- Promote a safety-first culture, conducting regular safety audits, and ensuring all team members prioritise workplace safety.
- Support the development and implementation of risk assessments and method statements for assembly processes.
- Ensure the team consistently upholds 6S standards in the assembly area.
- Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations.
- Address non-conformance issues from assembly, implementing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a factory environment.
- At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within a factory setting.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, including shop order management, inventory control, and shop floor clocking.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills for managing a large assembly team.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work on your own initiative.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to adapt and grow.
