📍 Carrickfergus | 💰 £27,000 | 🕒 Monday to Friday | Flexible Start Times

Our client, a specialist manufacturer based in Carrickfergus, is seeking a Production & Test Technician to join their small, close-knit team. You don't need to have formal qualifications in engineering-but an understanding or curiosity around how systems and electronics work is key. If you've worked in a technical, assembly, repair, or quality-focused role before, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills further.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assembling and testing products, including light mechanical and soldering work
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems (down to component level)
  • Inspecting incoming parts and ensuring quality standards are met
  • Using test equipment to carry out functional checks
  • Documenting test results and updating internal systems
  • Supporting other departments when needed with technical or product queries
  • Raising part requests and flagging any non-conforming items
  • Contributing to product improvements by submitting change suggestions


What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a hands-on technical or production environment (2+ years)
  • Comfortable using tools, reading diagrams, and following test instructions
  • Good computer skills - especially Microsoft Office
  • A basic understanding of electronics or engineering principles
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a small team
