Position: Procurement Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the procurement of all components and consumables.
  • Ensure timely, competitive purchasing of components, aligning with required lead times.
  • Monitor and reorder key components to prevent stock shortages, considering supplier lead times.
  • Continuously track stock levels, maintaining them within acceptable system-defined limits.
  • Source components from various manufacturers, adapting to new or changing needs.
  • Verify purchases against supplier price lists, ensuring correct application of discounts and quantity breaks.
  • Forecast critical component needs, reviewing usage monthly and adjusting forecasts accordingly.
  • Negotiate improved pricing and services with high-usage suppliers.
  • Coordinate with couriers and shippers for timely collection and delivery, and monitor shipments.
  • Match proof of delivery (POD) with invoices, enter details into the system, and resolve discrepancies.
  • File supplementary declarations with TSS.
  • Assist with shop counter duties related to small sales and repairs, as needed.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing/procurement role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills-written, verbal, and via telephone and email.
