VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting a Newly Qualified Accountant to join a recognisable Public Sector body based in Belfast city centre. This is an initial contract for a 6 month period, however, the organisation will typically extend contracts and even offer permanent positions on some occasions.
The Newly Qualified Accountant will report directly to the Assistant Director of Finance and will be involved in the timely and accurate production of monthly financial statements. This will include preparing month end management accounts for external stakeholders, alongside preparing the financial accounts of the department.

About you
- Qualified Accountant
- Strong IT skills including MS Excel
- Proven ability to influence, interact and consult with senior leaders
- Highly organised with a high attention to detail
What you'll do
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Assist with the annual setting of revenue and capital budgets
- Provide accurate budget monitoring information
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Preparation of capital accounting schedules
- Ad hoc project accounting duties
