Member Services Officer - Public Sector

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large and well-known Public Sector Organisation with the recruitment of a Member Services Officer to join their team based in Antrim.

This is a Part-Time position. 37 hours over two weeks.

Week 1 (Thursday & Friday)

Week 2 (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday)

Salary

£19.66 per hour, plus benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Support meetings by preparing agendas, recording minutes, and following up on actions.
  • Prepare and maintain meeting files, liaising with external bodies for presentations.
  • Work with IT and departments to improve communication and resource use.
  • Upload reports, minutes, and schedules to the organisation's website.
  • Manage stationery inventory and process orders.
  • Support local elections and maintain a register of gifts and hospitality.
  • Provide customer service, assisting the Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
  • Arrange member travel and accommodation.
  • Coordinate on-call member services.
  • Perform other duties as required and be available for additional hours when needed.

The Ideal Person:

  • Relevant qualifications such as LCCI Secretary's Certificate, BTEC National Certificate, or equivalent Level 3 qualification, or 4 years' experience in similar administrative roles.
  • RSA/OCR Stage II Word Processing or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of clerical experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, agenda preparation, report writing, and managing conflicting priorities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Focus on service improvement.
  • Full driving license or access to suitable transport.
  • Availability to work outside standard hours as needed.
