Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts to trial balance stage including preparing and processing of journals & preparation of necessary supporting schedules/working papers
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial records, ensuring all income, expenses, liabilities and assets are accurately recorded, reconciled and reviewed
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in the planning, preparation, and delivery of statutory reports, internal and external audits, and the Annual Statutory Accounts within agreed timetables.
  • Quarterly VAT return workings and associated reconciliations within UK & Irish jurisdictions
  • Revenue Reporting
  • Costings and analysis of production performance
  • Review of TMS system
  • Contribution to the annual budgeting and planning process
  • Review accounts payable/credit control and cover if necessary

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) - will suit a NQ Accountant keen to make first move into Industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
