Are you a skilled technician looking to take your career to the next level? Join our expanding Maintenance Department as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician and be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll perform both electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring our production machinery operates efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Swiftly respond to and resolve electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on plant equipment to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Document all maintenance activities and repairs, maintaining clear communication with the team.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to troubleshoot issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all tasks meet high safety and regulatory standards, adhering to protocols like Permit to Work and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
  • Proactively report any safety concerns, incidents, or near misses to the line manager.
  • Attend training to stay updated with qualifications and technical skills.
  • Build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required by line management.

Essential Criteria:

  • Completed apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • BTEC ONC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within manufacturing.
  • Expertise in fault-finding, troubleshooting, and carrying out planned maintenance.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-speed environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to tasks.
  • Willingness to work continental shifts (day and night).

Desirable Criteria:

  • BTEC HNC/HND in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceutical).
  • Knowledge of control systems and automated equipment.
