A leading manufacturer in County Antrim is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to take ownership of plant reliability, efficiency, and equipment performance. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will develop and lead a high-performing maintenance team, drive a proactive maintenance culture, and work closely with operations to improve overall equipment effectiveness.

The Role:

As Maintenance Manager, you will:
βœ… Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a safety-first, proactive maintenance culture.
βœ… Develop and implement structured preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and reduce reactive breakdowns.
βœ… Utilise lean maintenance principles to drive improvements in plant reliability, safety, and efficiency.
βœ… Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure maintenance aligns with production requirements.
βœ… Lead structured problem-solving initiatives (5-Whys, FMEA, Kaizen) to address recurring issues and improve performance.
βœ… Manage spare parts inventory to optimise costs while ensuring reliability.
βœ… Track and report on key maintenance KPIs to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
βœ… Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, including risk assessments, audits, and training.

What We're Looking For:


βœ” Minimum 10 years' experience in a maintenance role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
βœ” Strong background in manufacturing maintenance with experience in both preventative and reactive maintenance strategies.
βœ” Proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
βœ” Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience using data-driven approaches to enhance performance.
βœ” Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and implement process improvements.
βœ” Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across teams and influence change.
βœ” A third-level qualification in a related discipline (engineering, maintenance, or technical field).
