Maintenance Manager - County Antrim

A leading manufacturer in County Antrim is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to take ownership of plant reliability, efficiency, and equipment performance. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will develop and lead a high-performing maintenance team, drive a proactive maintenance culture, and work closely with operations to improve overall equipment effectiveness.
As Maintenance Manager, you will:

Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a safety-first, proactive maintenance culture.
β
Develop and implement structured preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and reduce reactive breakdowns.
β
Utilise lean maintenance principles to drive improvements in plant reliability, safety, and efficiency.
β
Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure maintenance aligns with production requirements.
β
Lead structured problem-solving initiatives (5-Whys, FMEA, Kaizen) to address recurring issues and improve performance.
β
Manage spare parts inventory to optimise costs while ensuring reliability.
β
Track and report on key maintenance KPIs to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
β
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, including risk assessments, audits, and training.
β Minimum 10 years' experience in a maintenance role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
β Strong background in manufacturing maintenance with experience in both preventative and reactive maintenance strategies.
β Proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
β Excellent problem-solving skills, with experience using data-driven approaches to enhance performance.
β Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and implement process improvements.
β Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work across teams and influence change.
β A third-level qualification in a related discipline (engineering, maintenance, or technical field).
