Maintenance Engineer (Multi-Skilled)

We're recruiting for a leading manufacturing client offering an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and make a real impact on their operations.

Location: Ballymena
Hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday (rotating shifts)

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll ensure the smooth operation of electrical, mechanical, and automated equipment in a fast-paced production facility. This hands-on role focuses on optimising equipment reliability and performance while meeting production targets safely and efficiently.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams in a supportive environment and manage your tasks with autonomy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical production equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults, including control panels and automated systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Provide technical support to production teams.
  • Ensure infrastructure is maintained for operational efficiency.
  • Drive improvements to machine reliability and product quality.
  • Utilise CMMS systems to monitor performance and control costs.

What We're Looking For

Essential Criteria:

  • Time-served Electrical & Mechanical Engineer.
  • At least 2 years' recent experience in an industrial or high-volume production environment.
  • Strong fault-finding skills with control panels and automated systems.
  • Highly motivated and effective in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
