Legal Counsel (Food / FMCG)

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a prestigious Food based FMCG Manufacturing Company in NI and Ireland with the recruitment of a Legal Counsel. This position is based in Craigavon - Monday - Friday - Permanent

The responsibilities of the Legal Counsel will include but not be limited to:

• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements including NDAs, amendments to standard terms and conditions of purchase and bespoke agreements.
• Advising on and managing a wide range of legal issues including civil litigation and regulatory matters.
• Evaluating and weighing multiple inputs/impacts of decisions/courses of action and identifying proactive solutions to mitigate risks.
• Assisting with continued development of compliance programme and advising on ad hoc compliance related queries (e.g. competition law, anti-bribery and corruption, conflict of interest)
• Performing other tasks and projects as assigned from time to time

The successful Legal Counsel will meet the following criteria:

• UK Qualified Solicitor or Barrister
• Newly qualified - 2 years post qualification experience (given as a guide only).
• High calibre experience with a top law firm or experience working in a fast-paced, in-house legal environment.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial & procurement contracts, with exposure to intellectual property, antitrust, anti-bribery and other regulatory issues including food labelling
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to build relationships and relate to clients at all levels of the business
