Position Details:

  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid model (3 days in a state-of-the-art office in Belfast City Centre + 2 days remote work).
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday.
  • Employment Type: Permanent.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Collaborate with the Global Energy Transition BD Manager to craft and implement a detailed strategy aimed at securing energy transition projects, particularly in hydrogen and battery value chains.
  • Proposal Management: Lead the creation of proposals, pitch presentations, and credentials statements related to energy transition projects. Monitor proposal outcomes and ensure feedback is utilized to enhance future submissions.
  • Systems and Processes: Coordinate with the PENRI group to manage marketing systems and tools, including budget tracking and expenditure reporting.
  • Directories and Awards: Spearhead the preparation of submissions for directories and awards to enhance the practice's market visibility.
  • Client Engagement: Identify and organize client entertainment opportunities in collaboration with fee earners and the CRM team. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of hospitality and marketing expenditure to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Internal Communication: Ensure consistent dissemination of market and client intelligence (e.g., pipeline deals, key players, market share, client developments) to partners and associates.
  • Campaign Management: Partner with the BD and Communications teams, as well as senior associates and the PSL team, to execute comprehensive business development campaigns. Organize roundtables and client seminars to highlight expertise in key product areas. Work with the Communications/PR team to enhance the external profile of selected product areas.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience and Knowledge: Demonstrated interest or experience in the energy market, particularly in energy transition. Eagerness to deepen understanding of sector capabilities, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Professional Background: Relevant experience in business development and marketing at a comparable level within a professional services environment or related sector, with a focus on business audiences and direct interaction with senior management.
  • Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and influencing abilities, with a track record of working effectively with partners, senior associates, and business development teams. Proven capability to motivate fee earners and collaboratively develop and execute business development strategies.
