Are you a senior finance professional with experience of working within a scaling SME environment? A business in Belfast requires an Interim CFO to join their team for a minimum period of 6 months, immediate start available.

VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a scaling SME business based in Belfast, who require an Interim CFO to join their team for an initial period of 6 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business in which you can play a crucial part in taking the organisation through a significant part of their life cycle. The Interim CFO will work closely with the CEO, and will take full responsibility for the finance function, driving financial performance and outlook of the group. To be considered for this role it is essential to have proven experience in a similar environment, ideally with experience of working with PE firms/backers. The Interim CFO will take ultimate responsibility for delivering the strategic plans and enabling profitable growth across the group.
Due to the nature of the role, there is the potential for this to be offered on a flexible working pattern alongside a hybrid working model (3 or 4 days a week will also be considered).

About you
- Experience as a CFO or Finance Director with strong leadership skills
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the confidence to lead board debates
- Vision to always look for improvement
- Highly analytical to manage trend and market insights, with an ability to make swift decisions
What you'll do
- Define corporate financial strategy, manage financial capital and communicate implications of business decisions to CEO
- Overall responsibility to ensure financial governance, control system and statutory compliance is in place
- Provide board with useful financial information and operational analytics
- Lead and develop the senior leadership team
- Develop and complete M&A solutions in line with strategic aims
- Ensure compliance with law and company policies
