My client is looking for a skilled Technical Services/Infrastructure Engineer to support their ICT applications and software across all departments and locations. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth IT operations, maintaining infrastructure, and optimising systems.
*This role will be 5 days on site in Magherafelt*
Experience in building devices and ideally Intune is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Support: Provide technical assistance for software, hardware, and general ICT issues, ensuring staff receive prompt and effective support.
- Process Documentation: Help document ICT processes to align with the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) and improve efficiency.
- Vendor Management: Act as the first point of contact for external providers, managing system issues and raising support tickets as needed.
- System Optimisation: Maintain and improve the system and reporting capabilities.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee cloud platforms, hardware lifecycle, and managed services to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Cost Control: Monitor third-party support costs to ensure they stay within budget.
- Project Support: Assist with ICT projects, including system development, testing, rollouts, and ongoing improvements.
- Application Development: Support departments in maximising the use of Microsoft 365 tools, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
Requirements:
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
- Experience in technical support, IT helpdesk, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop OS, troubleshooting, and system setup.
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and network infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Microsoft or CompTIA certifications (desirable).
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent technical troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with network management, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Server & Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate (desirable).
