Overview

We are on the lookout for an ICT Risk Assessment Officer to join our public sector client to assist with the reviewing, analysis and risk assessment of new IT Systems coming in to the business, in addition to responding to queries raised to the Security and Governance team in relation to IT systems and services. While you need to have a general understanding of IT Systems, Cloud and Security Technology, including firewalls, you won't be in a hands on technical role. The core of the role will be risk assessment, so the client is looking for someone with a firm understanding of risk assessment principles and strong customer service skills, and they can provide training on the rest.

About you

  • IT Degree
  • Experience in a Security/Governance/Risk Assessment role
  • Experience of risk assessment with a firm understanding of risk assessment principles
  • Friendly and positive morale with strong customer service skills
  • Flexible to take on a variety of work, adaptable
  • Preferably available immediately

What you'll do as an ICT Risk Assessment Officer

  • Support ICT Risk Assessment in related projects/initiatives, producing various pieces of work as required e.g. guidance, processes, training.
  • Support the day-to-day management of requests for information in relation to ICT Risk Assessment.
  • Assist the Risk Assessment Team Leader to provide advice and practical assistance on ICT security risks and appropriate risk mitigation and implementation of control measures
  • Respond to routine enquiries from staff regarding access to information, policies and procedures.
  • Undertake initial fact finding/ risk assessments of ICT Risk Assessment related incidents and enquiries on behalf of the ICT Risk Assessment Team Leader/ ICT Security, Governance and Business Manager.
