HR Manager - Professional Services Sector

Job Description

VANRATH are partnering with a leading professional services business, with offices located in central Belfast, with the appointment of a newly created HR Manager role.

The Role

As an experienced HR Professional, you will play an integral role in supporting and enabling the business to deliver on a broad range of HR projects, and HR strategic initiatives to include talent attraction and retention, engagement and communication, performance development and introducing and complying with best HR practice.

This role is key to driving forward the organisational strategy of providing exceptional service from empowered people and is integral to the overall success of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the HR Strategy in line with the needs of the business
  • Operate as a Business Partner providing advice, guidance and support to all departments and levels within the organisation.
  • Coordinate all recruitment and induction.
  • Coordinate the Performance Review cycle and develop the organisational Performance management approach to ensure it is fit for purpose and is effective.
  • Take an active lead in companywide learning and development programmes and be responsible for the coordination, design, and delivery of training where necessary.
  • Be responsible for all employee relation matters that arise within the business and to ensure all performance issues are dealt with effectively, consistently, and fairly.
  • Assist in the management and implementation of Health & Safety processes
  • Implement Well-Being initiatives.
  • Update and advise the SLT on HR best practice, HR policy and employment law.
  • Ensure all HR policies and procedures are up to date and developed in line with best practice and law.

The Successful Candidate

  • A CIPD qualification at Chartered Member level or equivalent.
  • Extensive hands-on HR experience in a similar role operating at a similar level within a services or client focused environment.
  • A successful track record of providing an effective and efficient HR operational service to internal clients and proven ability to design, coordinate and implement HR strategy, HR policy and HR projects.
  • Proven experience of managing successful recruitment campaigns, developing and leading on learning and development programmes and effectively managing employee relation matters
