About you
- CIPD Level 5 qualification and working towards CIPD Advanced Level Diploma in Human Resource Management (level 7)
- Minimum of 3years' Human Resources experience to include the following:
- Providing HR Advice & guidance
- Employee Resourcing
- Employee Relations
- Strong record of implementing HR policy
- Working in partnership with range of stakeholders - managers, trade unions and employees
- Implementing HR solutions to support business need
- Managing conflict to achieve positive outcomes
- Sound knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and current best practice;
- Ability to coach, support and challenge others successfully;
- Able to identify potential risks/issues and provide effective HR advice and support;
- Able to influence, persuade and negotiate to achieve positive outcomes;
- Ability to deliver tasks and projects on time, manage high workload and conflicting priorities;
- Ability to write and present a range of reports;
- Proactive, self-motivated, flexible and adaptable;
- The ability to work effectively and maintain resilience in a changing environment.
- Access to a form of transport in order to meet the requirements of the post.
What you'll do
- Effectively manage a team, positively contributing to wellbeing and high levels of employee engagement;
- Implement and review appropriate training and development programmes for employees to ensure sufficient skills, capacity and knowledge within the service
- Deliver agreed performance targets;
- Work in a corporate and collaborative way with other services and departments.
- Be first point of contact for managers and unions for all operational matters pertaining to Directorate.
- Develop and maintain good industrial relations with recognised Trade Unions and participate in negotiations where appropriate.
- Provide guidance and input on Department restructures and workforce planning.
