Job Title: HR & Payroll Officer
Location: Portadown
Salary: 30k
Contract: Full Time / Permanent / On site
VANRATH are delighted to be working with our established engineering/manufacturing client as they search for an HR & Payroll Officer to join their growing HR function in Portadown.
You will be responsible for:
- Accurately process payroll on a monthly basis, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Administer employee benefits programmes, including health insurance, company pension schemes, and other voluntary deductions.
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening applications and scheduling interviews.
- Conduct new employee inductions and ensure completion of all required onboarding documentation.
- Ensure the company complies with all UK and Northern Irish employment laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with UK payroll, wage and hour laws, including the National Minimum Wage and the National Living Wage.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, including the submission of Real Time Information (RTI) reports.
- Manage and process all payroll deductions, including PAYE tax, National Insurance contributions, and pension schemes in line with UK legislation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in HR regulations and best practices, such as those stipulated by the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.
- Maintain and update employee records, including personal data, employment contracts, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management, including summaries of earnings, deductions, and leave balances.
- Update payroll information such as changes in tax codes, exemptions, direct deposit accounts, and other deductions.
