About the Role:
Our client are market leaders in the FMCG sector, dedicated to delivering high-quality products to their customers worldwide. We are looking for a proactive and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our team and drive our HSE initiatives to the next level.
As the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive HSE projects that align with our client's goals and regulatory requirements. Your role is crucial in ensuring a safe and compliant workplace, promoting a culture of safety, and minimising our environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective HSE policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local, national, and international regulations.
  • Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and develop strategies to mitigate risks across all operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental laws, regulations, and standards. Regularly update policies to reflect changes in legislation.
  • Conduct regular HSE training sessions for employees at all levels, fostering a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
  • Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses. Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee initiatives aimed at reducing the company's environmental footprint, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of HSE activities, incidents, and performance metrics. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and innovations. Continuously improve HSE programs and policies to enhance workplace safety and environmental sustainability.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE management, preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.
  • Proven track record in successfully managing HSE programs and driving cultural change.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and HSE auditing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
