General Ledger Accountant (Global FMCG/Craigavon)

VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with an award winning global FMCG based in Craigavon to recruit a technically strong General Ledger/Financial Accountant to join the centralised finance team based in their new state of the art offices.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager you wll work as part of the team producing financial reporting for all global business units.

About you

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Strong technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Ability to build working positive relationships with stakeholders
  • A team player who can work collaboratively across business units.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, and presentational skills.
  • Advanced IT skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

What you'll do

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager RTR this role will be working as part of a team producing financial reporting for all business units.
  • Reporting outputs will include monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information and associated reporting to the US
  • Input into relevant areas of monthly and quarterly disclosures.
  • Complete all reporting in line with established group timetables.
  • Develop deep knowledge across a range of areas including revenue/ cost of sales / overheads / inventory / fixed assets and deliver on these to the business.
  • Deliver key balance sheet a/c reconciliations which will feed into the overall entity reconciliations.
  • Complete relevant areas in relation to annual and statutory accounting.
  • Work with other members of the finance team to ensure consistency of working across the business units and to ensure best practice is implemented and followed.
  • Work on cross-functional projects where required providing expert guidance from a financial viewpoint.
  • Operate with the highest standards of financial integrity and demonstrate each of the company values to a high level.
  • Work as part of a highly motivated team, coaching and supporting other more junior members of the team.
