Role Summary


The firm are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fully Qualified Accounting Technician to support the expanding practice. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in handling a range of financial tasks. This role offers the flexibility of part-time hours, making it ideal for someone looking to balance professional growth with personal commitments.



Main Duties and Responsibilities


  • Client Accounts Management:
    • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for a diverse portfolio of clients, including bookkeeping, VAT returns, and bank reconciliations.

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and other reports as required.

  • Tax Compliance:
    • Support the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.

  • Client Liaison:
    • Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing queries and providing clear and concise financial advice.

  • Support to Senior Accountants:
    • Work closely with senior accountants and other team members to ensure the smooth delivery of services and client satisfaction.


Criteria


  • Qualifications:
    • Fully Qualified Accounting Technician (ATI or equivalent).

  • Experience:
    • Experience in an accountancy practice or similar financial environment is preferred.

  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
