Are you a Senior Finance professional, with experience of working with a growing SME environment? A leading engineering business in County Down requires a Financial Controller to join their team.

The Financial Controller will assume responsibility for the business financials, ensuring completion of monthly and annual accounts, through managing and motivating the wider finance function. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors to ensure the company growth strategy is on course, and highlighting and opportunities for further development, this will require a confident communicator who is comfortable liaising with non-finance staff. This is the ideal opportunity for a Financial Controller who has experience of an owner managed business and is comfortable driving business forward with sustainable growth plans.
About you
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 4+ years working in a senior leadership role
- Strong communication skills to motivate internal employees, alongside influencing board members
- Previous experience within engineering/construction or similar environment
- Experience of working closely with MD/Owner/Directors
- Available to start at short notice
What you'll do
- Lead the finance team throughout month end close out process
- Implement improvements with internal controls and processes
- Lead on system integration
- Preparation of annual budget
- Oversee financial projects
- Lead transactional processes ensuring deliverables are met on time
- Overall responsibility for the company financials, reporting to the Board of Directors
