Facilities Services Manager (Public Sector)

VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a Facilities Services Manager for 3 months initially with the possibility of extension. You will predominantly be based in their Craigavon site.

Responsibilities

  • The Facilities Services Manager will report to the Corporate Facilities Manager and will be responsible for the efficient running of the facilities department within the South region across the office estate. This will be achieved through management and co-ordination with other Directorates to enable Client to meet strategic objectives.
  • The post holder will lead the effective planning and delivery of all necessary services to the organisation whilst contributing to the development of new strategies to ensure the department is continually improving.
  • Tho post holder will be responsible for the monitoring of expenditure within the region ad will also assist in the preparation of the departments annual budget. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring value for money by evaluating work practices and continually monitoring existing service delivery.
  • Daily management of facilities staff and operations to ensure all services are being provided within the South Region. This includes management of facilities services contracts, and other associated contracts to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations. Information may need to be gathered to assess and/or renew contracts.
  • Hold regular performance review meetings with contractors and suppliers to ensure high standards of service provision. Oversee and ensure governance procedures are in place, deal with issues, and manage invoices in a timely manner.
  • Assist senior management with planned works and projects, liaise with internal and external stakeholders and develop and maintain partnerships to optimise delivery.



Requirements

  • Candidates must have a degree in a Building or Construction related field, plus two years relevant experience at a management or supervisory level.

Or

  • A HNC/HND in a Building or Construction related field, plus three years relevant experience at a management or supervisory level.

Or

  • Candidates who do not possess the above qualifications may also be considered if they have at least 5 years experience working at a management or supervisory level within a medium to large organistation, demonstrating oversight of multiple buildings from a Facilities or Estate Management perspective.



Remuneration
£33,000 - £40,000 plus benefits
