Estates Development Energy Officer (Public Sector)

VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for a Estates Development Energy Officer for 7 months initially with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Energy Manager with all staffing and budgetary matters for the estate management and valuation section within the Energy & Estates Service. Monitor and assist with the section's budgets.
  • Ensure that all energy matters are allocated to a team member or specialist external consultant and actioned together with management of current/new energy contracts.
  • Assist with a wide range of estates management activities including energy audits, management of energy licences, energy recharging, energy contracts with the use of the Client's Energy portfolio.
  • Assist with the management of energy compliance requests and liaising with external agencies including DAERA and other external governing bodies.
  • Provide energy efficiency advice on emerging renewable technologies including engagement with contractors, staff and all relevant parties.
  • Ensure the Client has policies and procedures in place to deal with all energy management and sustainability with a goal to achieve net zero by 2050 in line with the NI climate act.



Requirements

Degree or recognised professional qualification in one of the following fields:

  • Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Energy Management
  • Administrative/Business/equivalent related field

AND

  • 1 years' experience in a relevant role


OR

HNC/HND or equivalent in one of the following fields:

  • Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Energy Management
  • Administrative/Business/equivalent related field


AND

  • 2 years' experience in a relevant

OR

4 years' experience in a role in one of the following fields:

  • Electrical/Mechanical/Building Services
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Energy Management
  • Administrative/Business/equivalent related field


Hold a full UK Driving licence.

Remuneration
c£35,000 per annum, plus discount benefits.
