This company, with a prestigious history of 70 years in the industry, specialises in the design and manufacturing of high-quality packaging solutions for the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors. Their global clientele includes some of the most respected names in the pharmaceutical industry.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualifications: Ideally, an electrical apprenticeship with a Level 3 engineering qualification.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years post-apprenticeship experience with a strong multi-skilled background.
- Skills: Expertise in PLCs, pneumatics, control systems, and general maintenance.
- Availability: Willingness to work shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of PPE, and follow all Health & Safety guidelines.
- Health & Safety Promotion: Foster a culture of safety by actively supporting Health & Safety policies and encouraging safe working practices.
- Machine Maintenance: Perform repairs and troubleshoot material converting machinery, addressing both electrical and mechanical issues while maintaining a safe work space.
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute routine maintenance tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and scheduled work plans.
- Inventory Management: Efficiently manage inventory, maintaining optimal stock levels through effective use of inventory systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive and participate in continuous improvement initiatives that support the company's objectives, particularly related to Cost to Order (CTO).
- Project Leadership & Training: Lead projects, mentor team members, and contribute to building a world-class technical team.
- Skill Development: Take advantage of learning opportunities to enhance your skills and advance within the organisation.
- Additional Duties: Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
