The Role

VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with the Northern Ireland Assembly to recruit a Digital Content Producer to join their Communications Office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled digital professional to develop engaging content across social media, websites, and internal platforms, helping to shape the Assembly's digital presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Video & Graphics: Film and edit video content for social media, website, and intranet; design branded graphics using Canva.
  • Website & CMS Management: Publish and maintain content across the Assembly's CMS and WordPress-based micro-sites, ensuring accessibility and compliance with GDPR.
  • Content Development: Work with the Communications Team to create and evaluate content for social media campaigns and internal communications.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with MLAs, Assembly staff, and public officials.
  • Training & Support: Provide guidance to colleagues on content management systems and digital best practices.
  • Data & Compliance: Manage information in line with policies, including Freedom of Information requests.

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

Option 1: A 2:2 degree or higher in any subject.

At least two years' experience in:

  • Using camera equipment and video editing software.
  • Working with CMS platforms (e.g., EPiServer, Umbraco, WordPress).
  • Designing online graphics using Canva.
  • Managing and posting to social media platforms.
  • Using analytics tools to measure digital content performance.

Option 2:

  • GCSE/GCE 'O' Level (A-C) in four subjects*, including English.
  • At least four years' experience in the areas listed above.

🔹 Desirable: A qualification in Digital or Social Media Marketing, or demonstrable experience managing digital content across multiple platforms.
