Cyber Security Lead

Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a global technology provider on their search for a Cyber Security Lead. This role is suited to candidates coming from a cloud centric environment, that have experience in a lead or management position.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will design and deploy security infrastructure, manage incidents, and address vulnerabilities with the IT team and users. You will analyse and respond to security alerts, lead security initiatives to enhance our posture, and implement services like SIEM and MDR to improve operations.

Communicating security advisories and reporting on security status, you'll also conduct exercises to boost security maturity and conduct threat assessments. Developing and maintaining security policies, you will stay updated on security trends and deliver training for security operations. Your contributions will be crucial in monitoring threats and ensuring our incident response is effective and efficient.

Essential Criteria

  • Incident Response: Lead incident response and threat management.
  • Technical Communication: Explain technical details to non-technical audiences.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS stack, Azure, Microsoft Defender.
  • Vulnerability Management: Experience with tools like Nessus Tenable.
  • Experience: 5+ years in information security.
  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, CEH, CISA, CISSP, AZ-500, MS-500.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or similar.

Highly Desirable

  • Cloud Computing: Experience with Azure security.
  • Network Security: LAN and WAN security experience.
  • Security Standards: Familiar with ISO27001, PCI-DSS, NIST.
  • Certifications: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud certifications.
