Credit Controller

VANRATH are currently exclusively recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a fast-paced and dynamic finance team. This is a senior, standalone role that plays a pivotal part in supporting the financial operations of a multi-entity business.

This is an office-based, full-time permanent position.

What You'll Do

• Issue reminders, statements, and copy invoices promptly
• Chase outstanding debt via phone, email, and written communication
• Manage accounts through to legal action if necessary
• Prepare month-end aged debt reports for senior leadership
• Process and monitor Direct Debit payments
• Lead monthly debt meetings and support managers in reducing aged debt
• Resolve invoice queries and discrepancies
• Send monthly contract maintenance updates to customers
• Accurately allocate incoming payments
• Conduct credit checks and assist with ad-hoc finance tasks
• Support general finance administration as required

About You

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a credit control role is essential
• Confident in managing and improving credit control processes independently
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and accounting software
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own time and workload effectively
