Credit Controller

Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with our client based in Belfast to hire a Credit Controller on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be an integral part of a busy yet close-knit finance team.

Primary Responsibilities:


- Ensure overdue notices, reminders, duplicate invoices, and statements are dispatched promptly.
- Contact debtors for payment via phone, email, and written communication.
- Handle the management of outstanding accounts, including initiating legal proceedings if necessary.
- Provide month-end reports, informing the CEO of aged debt and debtor days.
- Process Direct Debit payments and follow up on any returned payments through the banking portal.
- Lead monthly debt meetings and collaborate with Senior Managers to manage and reduce aged debt.
- Resolve invoice queries and rectify any discrepancies.
- Issue contract maintenance updates to customers on a monthly basis.
- Allocate payments to customer accounts promptly when necessary.
- Conduct credit checks and undertake other miscellaneous finance duties.
- Assist with administrative tasks within the Finance Department to ensure its smooth operation.

You will need:

-Previous experience in a Credit Control role
-Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
-Organised with excelled attention to detail
