Credit Control Manager (Belfast)
Job Description
VANRATH are delighted to be exclusively working with a leading FMCG company based in Belfast, who are searching for an experienced Credit Control Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control function, ensuring effective collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining positive customer relationships while minimising credit risk.
A newly created role, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and will manage a team located across both Northern Ireland and England.

What you'll do
- Month-end ledger closures and monthly reporting, including KPIs
- Manage new accouns, reviewing applications, credit reports, and T&Cs
- Monitor and update credit limits, keeping customer accounts up to date and minimising aged debtors
- Accurately record and reconcile payments, maintaining a clean ledger
- Oversee team workload and provide holiday cover
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and support business growth
- Assist finance leadership with internal controls, governance, and system/process changes implementation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with staff at all levels
- Conduct annual appraisals for direct reports
- Collaborate daily with internal teams to resolve and prevent issues
- Communicate with external stakeholders professionally
About you
- 5 years Credit Control experience
- 2+ years in management
- Excellent time management
- Excellent communication skills
