VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a client in Omagh to recruit the newest member of their finance team.

Working alongside an existing accountant responsible for month-end and day-to-day accounting tasks, the Cost Analyst will focus on evaluating and managing the company's expenditures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Analysis: Examine costs related to various aspects of the business, including fuel, materials, and other operational expenses, to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Budget Management: Compare actual expenditures against budgets, providing insights on variances and suggesting areas for improvement.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed cost reports and presentations for management, outlining key findings and recommendations.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitor spending patterns across different departments and projects, ensuring costs align with company objectives.
  • Cost Reduction Strategies: Collaborate with other departments to implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or efficiency.
  • Forecasting: Assist in preparing forecasts by analysing past and current spending, contributing to more accurate budgeting and financial planning.
  • Support Decision-Making: Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and financial planning initiatives.

About you:
- Part Qualified/QBE Accountant would be desirable.
- Experience with cost analysis would be advantageous
