Role Overview
The team seeking a Corporate Finance Assistant Manager to join our growing Corporate Finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong technical and interpersonal skills, who is looking to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced and client-facing environment. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing key aspects of corporate finance transactions, supervising junior staff, and providing strategic advice to clients in a variety of sectors.

What you will do:

  • Transaction Support: Assist in the management and execution of M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side advisory, business valuations, financial due diligence, and other corporate finance activities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing timely and accurate advice tailored to their business needs.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Conduct detailed financial analysis, including financial modelling, business valuation reports, and cash flow projections. Prepare clear, comprehensive reports and presentations for clients.
  • Team Management & Mentorship: Supervise and support junior team members, providing guidance and development opportunities while ensuring the timely delivery of work.
  • Business Development: Contribute to business development activities by identifying opportunities within the existing client base, assisting in proposal preparation, and participating in client pitches.
  • Due Diligence & Research: Coordinate and support the due diligence process, working closely with legal, tax, and other advisory teams. Perform market research to support strategic decision-making.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal procedures. Maintain a high standard of quality control and risk management throughout projects.
  • Client Presentations: Prepare and present findings and strategic advice to clients and key stakeholders.

What you will have:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with relevant experience in corporate finance, transaction advisory, or audit with a strong emphasis on financial analysis and client-facing work.
  • Previous experience in corporate finance, M&A, or transaction services within a mid-tier or top accountancy practice.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships, demonstrating a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and coaching junior staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to identify business development opportunities and contribute to the firm's growth.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Experience in business valuations, due diligence, and debt advisory.
  • Experience with industry-specific sectors or markets.
