VANRATH are delighted to be working with a large and well known Public Sector organisation. The client is actively looking for several Cooks across a number of locations in Bangor.

What's in it for you?

  • £12.11 - £12.31 an hour
  • 27.5 - 30 hours a week
  • Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Skilled cooking activities connected with the full range of meals (assisting with the preparation of menus, portion control & the provision of special dietary meals)
  • To assist with the control of hygiene, health and safety in the kitchen including recording of temperatures.
  • To undertake operational control of service points including transported meals.
  • General kitchen duties as required.
  • Associated Administrative duties e.g. planning of meals, stock-taking, general kitchen management & cash handling duties where appropriate.

Essential Criteria:

  • Two years' experience of food preparation and cooking within a catering establishment.
  • Knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
  • Willingness to undertake job related training.
  • Ability to communicate and engage effectively with others as part of a team and with customers.
  • Effective organisational and planning skills.
  • Motivation towards providing excellent food and customer service.
