Our client is a leading fit-out contractor who have an excellent reputation for delivering on high end luxury projects across several sectors including residential, hospitality, commercial and retail.

They pride themselves on being a people-orientated company and have a great opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

The Ideal Person:

  • Effective communication skills
  • 3+ years previous experience as a contracts manager (preferably in a fit-out setting)
  • Be willing to travel
  • Preparation, negotiation and managing skills
  • Proven success in delivering projects


Responsibilities:

  • Review Contract details, tender docs and pre-construction information.
  • Review tender programme and create construction programme and Information release schedules.
  • Initiate site mobilisation and oversee site set up is implemented.
  • Hold Pre-start meetings with sub-contractors.
  • Travel to projects weekly.
  • Liaise closely with the project QS and Site manager to ensure cost control.
  • Manage approved sub-contractors to ensure health and safety is upheld and programme requirements are met.
  • Monitor live projects for Quality of work, cost, and programme implications.
  • Carry out regular CM inspections on site visits.
  • Attend project meetings and create regular progress reports.
  • Exercise a Pro-active attitude to ensure client requirements are achieved.
  • Exercise good Contractual knowledge on JCT & D&B Contracts
  • Control and oversee the snag and de-snag of projects using the SnagR system.
  • Control and organise the compiling and issue of all CDM H&S and O&M manuals.
  • Attend project handovers and demonstrations.
  • Hold post contract wash up meetings.
