Commercial Analyst (Exclusive)

VANRATH are delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative utility provider based in Belfast to recruit a dynamic Commercial Analyst to take on an exciting role within the business.

The Commercial Analyst is responsible for assisting with the development of operational and commercial arrangements in accordance with the relevant regulatory obligations, contractual framework and appropriate industry standards. The ability to forge strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders will be a critical success factor in the role.

About you

  • Relevant 3rd level qualification with at least 3 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to analyse, assimilate and objectively assess complex information, reports and critical analysis to formulate cogent views and opinions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey messages clearly and succinctly.
  • Ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; with experience in Excel essential.

What you'll do

  • Participation in the development of transportation arrangements arising from modifications to the contractual and legislative framework.
  • Research into current and future market arrangements both domestically and in other jurisdictions.
  • Analysis, development and continuous improvement of specified business processes.
  • Support the development of market arrangements related to the Energy Transition, in particular, the injection and transportation of renewable gas into the NI Network.
  • Participation in external work streams with UK and European gas operators to determine potential impacts on the NI Gas Market.
  • Keeping up to date with all relevant regulatory obligations and appropriate gas industry standards.
  • Drafting of reports, papers and presentations.
  • Manage engagement in relevant consultation processes.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
