VANRATH are pleased to be exclusively partnered with a leading FMCG organisation based in Greater Belfast, in their recruitment of a Commercial Accountant. This is an interim contract for a period of 6 months, however due to exciting growth plans, this is an excellent foot in the door opportunity for the successful candidate. You will be joining an established finance function, with a hands-on Financial Director, and will be given the autonomy within your role, to assist in making decisive commercial decisions.

Reporting to the Financial Director, the Commercial Accountant will manage financial reporting, budgeting & analysis, providing critical insights that drive business and will play a key role in supporting the strategic objectives of the group. To be considered for this role, it is essential to hold a professional accounting qualification along with 3+ years in a commercial accounting setting.

About you

• Qualified Accountant
• Commercial Accounting experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• FMCG experience is beneficial
• Ability to work in an ever changing environment

What you'll do

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Conduct details budgeting and forecasting, focusing on sales analysis, products sold and stock management
• Monitor cash flow, manage working capital and provide analysis into pricing and promotional strategies
• Margin analysis
• Maintain and improve financial systems
