CNC Machinist/Setter Operator - Minimum - 1 year experience
Location: Lisburn
Hours: 4-Day Week (Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM - 5:45 PM)

About the Role

As a CNC Machinist/Setter Operator, you'll be working with cutting-edge 3 & 5-axis machine tools, including DMG Mori, Hermle, and Doosan, equipped with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.

Your tasks will include:

  • Precision Setup & Operation: Configure and operate state-of-the-art CNC machines.
  • Program Proving: Validate new programs and assemble tools per job tooling lists.
  • Quality Control: Perform dimensional checks with instruments such as verniers, bore mics, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Blueprint Mastery: Read and interpret engineering drawings to meet precise tolerances.

About You

We're looking for passionate individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Essential Experience:
    • At least 1 year as a CNC machinist or setter/operator.
    • Ability to set up and prove out programs, plus conduct basic dimensional checks.
    • Proficient use of handheld inspection tools, with demonstrated competency.
  • Desirable:
    • An NVQ in Engineering (not essential but advantageous).
