The Role:

The business is looking for a permanent Chief Financial Officer who will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the Board, the CFO will have full accountability for the finance function and will ensure regular and consistent communication with the CEO. This role requires building trust and confidence with the board by accurately reporting on the financial performance and outlook of the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the CEO and ensure regular and consistent communication as a member of the ELT and Group Board.
  • Deliver the strategic agenda for the business to enable profitable growth and ensure sustainable results in collaboration with the CEO and ELT.
  • Drive the execution of the Mission, Vision, and Values to support the CEO and Group leadership in achieving agreed organisational targets.
  • Provide the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people are in place to effectively grow the organisation.
  • Nurture the finance function to increase capability and ensure financial strength, probity, and operating efficiency.
  • Develop, monitor, and evaluate overall corporate strategy with the CEO and ELT to maximise EBITDA, Cashflow Management, and Shareholder Value.
  • Collaborate with relevant Functional Leaders to drive change programmes within the divisions, ensuring team engagement and delivery of successful results.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a strategic CFO or in a senior financial leadership role within a private equity-backed business.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Experience in M&A activities and capital raising is a plus.
