One of Northern Ireland's largest public sector organisations requires a Capital Accountant to join their team on a 6 month interim basis.. This opportunity requires a Qualified Accountant and can offer remote working although the candidate must be based in Northern Ireland for occasional meetings as and when required.

VANRATH are delighted to be partnered one of Northern Ireland's largest public sector company's who are recruiting for a Capital Accountant to join their team. This is a 6 month contract with a view to being extended, and can offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work remotely in NI.
The Capital Accountant will be reporting to the Head of Capital Accounting for the provision of capital accounting services including contributing to the capital budgeting processes, report writing, fixed asset accounting & support project boards in the management of projects.
this is an excellent opportunity to join a leading public sector body and requires someone with an in depth knowledge of capital accounting.

About you
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)
- At least 1 years relevant capital accounting experience, including preparation of capital budgets
- Experience of managing a treasury function
- Strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
What you'll do
- Preparation of the Capital budgets, with subsequent budgetary control reporting
- Maintain finance business partnering support for directorates
- Management of Treasury function
- Provision of professional financial advice and information
- Manage performance across the team
