Business Development Manager (FMCG)

Job Description

A renowned dairy company is seeking to add a Business Development Manager to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Food/FMCG experienced individual to join a company that offers continuous progression opportunities.

The aim of this role is to promote the brand, develop next accounts and grow ice cream and milk sales within NI (not Antrim or North Down)

Hours

Monday - Friday

9am - 5pm

Salary
£40,000 - £45,000 + 10% bonus + Company car

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential new accounts within existing routes where there is capacity to improve route profitability.
  • Achieve profitable sales growth against KPIs in territory through sales calls or meetings.
  • Working with the Commercial Manager and Distribution Manager, develop new and profitable routes.
  • Approach existing and new customers in NI to range check and discuss opportunities to develop sales.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigation potential problems and developing solutions.
  • Monitor competition on pricing, new products, delivery schedule and merchandising.
  • Contribute to annual company sales budget and forecasting for agreed territory.

The Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ years field sales experience, experience of cold calling and door knocking.
  • Proven experience of growing sales and achieving targets within the Food/FMCG industry ideal
  • Competent in MS Office to include excel and word.
