VANRATH are pleased to be partnered with a leading organisation in the construction industry who are recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join their team on an initial interim contract for 6 months, with the opportunity to extend to a permanent position. This role can offer an experienced finance professional the next step in their career within the private sector.

The Ideal Person

  • 3 plus years of accounts payable and bookkeeping experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in driving problems to a resolution
  • Strong computer and business solution software skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors, management, and auditors
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field is preferred

Responsibilities

As a Bookeeper, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing vendor invoices, record invoices according to company policy.
  • Maintaining accuracy in processing of AP transactions, including accounting coding, timely payments and reconciliations.
  • Preparing weekly payments to vendors and employee
  • Review, verify and process employee expense reports
