Management Accountant (Public Sector, Newtownards)

VANRATH are pleased to be partnered with a Public Sector business within the Health Service in Newtowards, who are recruiting for a Qualified Accountant to join their busy finance fucntion on a contract basis. This role would be suitable for a Qualified Chartered Accountant who is immediately available and looking for a new challenge in public sector.

Previous experience within the public sector would be advantageous for this role as would staff management.


The Role

Duties are as follows

  • Support the Divisional Accountant in maintaining effective financial control within and across directorates.
  • Assist with commissioner liaison in relation to the understanding of service and budget agreements and contract variations relevant to the directorates.
  • Assist in the completion of consolidated and corporate Trust reporting both internally and externally.
  • Assist with the annual budget setting process, within agreed guidelines and timetables and to ensure that they reflect financial strategy and income profile.
  • Assist in the development of cash releasing efficiency plans, recovery plans and contingency plans for the directorate.

The Ideal Candidate:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (minimum of 2 years PQE)
- Excellent IT/systems skills
- Exposure to budgets, financial reporting and staff management
- Reduced notice period or immediate availability to commence assignment


Remuneration:

£40,000-£45,000
