They are passionate about helping SMEs grow, and are looking for a talented Assistant Manager or Manager to join the growing SME Team.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will take the lead in managing a team while overseeing a wide range of accounting functions for SME clients. You will develop and nurture client relationships, play an active role in staff learning and development, and ensure the highest level of service through your technical expertise in accounting principles.
What you will do:
- Team Leadership:
Manage, mentor, and guide a team of junior and mid-level staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work. - Client Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of SME clients, providing expert advice on financial matters, tax planning, and business strategy. - Technical Expertise:
Apply a deep understanding of accounting principles to oversee financial reporting, compliance, and advisory services for clients. Ensure accurate preparation and review of accounts. - Staff Development:
Take a lead role in the training and professional development of your team, ensuring they stay up to date with industry standards and best practices. - Process Management:
Manage workflow efficiently, ensuring that deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded.
What you will have:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience (PQE)
- Proven experience in managing and developing teams is highly desirable
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
