What you'll do

This role is dynamic and provides variety in your daily tasks. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Management Accountant to prepare management accounts and handle margin variance analysis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the preparation and reporting of monthly management accounts
  • Analysing sales and profitability to optimise margins
  • Conducting monthly financial reviews
  • Leading overhead expenditure reporting and variance analysis, and presenting results to Financial Controllers and budget holders
  • Completing monthly rebate settlements
  • Supporting budget preparation and statutory audits
  • Managing tax submissions and other statutory requirements
  • Overseeing Purchase Order requests
  • Continuously improving business processes
  • Providing financial insights to management
  • Coordinating with other finance teams as needed

About you

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and be part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, IATI). Experience in preparing management accounts and conducting financial analysis is essential. The candidate should also meet the following criteria:

  • 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English
  • Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, IATI) or qualified by experience
  • Experience in preparing management accounts and supporting month-end processes
  • Experience working within an FMCG environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
