This collaboration presents an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to progress into a Management Accountant role. In this newly established position, the Assistant Management Accountant will work under the guidance of the Finance Manager.

What you'll do

As an experienced Assistant Management Accountant, you will take charge of key elements of the month-end process, contribute to various reporting packs such as Management Accounts, and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other ad hoc financial reports. Your role will also involve supporting the smooth and timely operation of daily finance functions.

  • Assist in preparing Management Accounts
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations, and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts
  • Produce weekly treasury and revenue reports, and support cashflow forecasting
  • Prepare key journals such as Accruals and Prepayments, and review AP payment runs, resolving creditor queries
  • Manage the Fixed Assets Register
  • Ensure costs are accurately recorded in purchase orders
  • Reconcile VAT returns to the ledger and investigate discrepancies
  • Contribute to the preparation of year-end statutory accounts
  • Support KPI reporting and assist with the preparation of annual and monthly budgets and forecasts
  • Provide analysis of group results
  • Offer support to the payroll function as required
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties requested by Senior Management

About you

  • At Least 2 years experience working as an Assistant Accountant
  • Part- Qualified accountant, CIMA, ACCA
  • Team player
  • Desire to learn and progress
