Administrator - Belfast - Immediate Start

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our major Public Sector client, a large and well-known organisation with the recruitment of an Administrator to join their team based in Belfast.

This is a Full-Time Monday-Friday position. 36.25 hours a week.

Salary

£24,222 + fantastic benefits in a modern organisation e.g. Flexi time and free parking.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver customer-oriented admin services, including reception duties and handling queries.
  • Assist managers with financial, administrative, and procurement tasks.
  • Prepare reports, statistics, and business plans; monitor KPIs and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with other units to ensure consistent administrative practices.
  • Manage records, databases, and office supplies.
  • Support meetings by preparing materials and taking minutes as needed.
  • Handle project work, business cases, tenders, and ensure policy compliance.
  • Uphold the organisation's reputation through effective communication and service.

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
  • 2+ years in an office environment handling various administrative tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, strong communication, organisational, and customer service skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of taking and producing minutes and action plans arising from meetings.
  • Experience of working within local government or public sector.
